Ilkleyhood is a social forum for men new to, or already established in, the Ilkley area, which meets up informally for a drink once a month. The monthly meeting dates are shown below.
Ilkleyhood is run by four men, some of whom are fairly new to the area. We wanted to meet new people outside work – so we set up this group.
If you are new to the area, or have lived here for years, feel free to come along to the next meeting. Anyone living or working in Ilkley, Burley in Wharfedale, Addingham or anywhere else nearby is very welcome.
As well as the monthly meetings we also organise the odd trip to see some live music or comedy and there are some keen mountain bikers and runners in the group. We also organise other events, such as barbecues and curry nights.
There is a similar organisation called Carousel which acts as a meeting point for women in the area. It was in fact Carousel that inspired the setting up of Ilkleyhood. Their webiste is: www.carouselilkley.co.uk

Our monthly meetings are normally held on THURSDAYs at 8:00pm in the Ilkley Moor Vaults pub, also known locally as 'The Taps'. We do attempt to vary the venues however, and as such, the dates and venues for 2012 are listed below:

Our meetings are very informal, with most of us stay on till closing time.
