Ilkleyhood is a group of men, new to the Ilkley area, that meet up for a drink once a month. The next meeting date is shown below.
Ilkleyhood is run by four of us who are fairly new to the area ourselves. We were finding that we were not meeting that many new people outside work – so we set up this group.
If you feel like you are new to the area, even if you have lived here for years, then feel free to come along to the next meeting. Anyone living or working in Ilkley, Burley in Wharfedale, Addingham or anywhere else nearby is very welcome.
There is a similar organisation called Carousel which acts as a meeting point for women who have recently moved into the area. For further information contact ICVS (Ilkley & District Council for Voluntary Service) on 01943 603 348. It was in fact Carousel that inspired us to set up Ilkleyhood.

Our next meeting will be held on Tuesday 20th May at 7:30pm in the Ilkley Moor Vaults pub.

Our meetings are very informal. In theory we stop at around 9pm - but many of us stay on till closing time.

Just to confuse you slightly The Vaults is often still referred to locally by its old name: The Taps.
Ilkleyhood sub-groups
We are hoping to set up a number of small sub-groups for those people in Ilkleyhood that are interested in specific things. Currently people are intending to set up the following groups:
- Mountain biking
- Live music/gigs in the area
